Re-taking classes a double positive?

Are GPA's split as Science GPA and Everything Else? Or is your science GPA integrated into your Cumulative? I'm a non-science major so retaking a science class is a tremendous double win for me if the latter is the case.

i remember it being split into all 3. sci, nonsci, cum. and also split up by year so they can see your trends.

They are separated, but to just observe to see how you're doing in certain areas I guess. If you retake a science class and do well, it'll boost for science and your overall.
