re-taking classes with C's?

would like some thoughts on this..

i'm about half-way into my pre-reqs.. i've gotten a C in bio1 and a C+ in chem2. even though they are passing grades, my OCD is really getting to me and i would like to perfect those into A's.

i am just concerned with trying to make my transcript look decent.. i already failed chem1, but got an A when i retook it. i also got a D in calc (but it won't be accepted since it's not a C), withdrew the second time i took it, and will have to take it again for a third time. : /

what are your thoughts on this? am i just being a loser perfectionist by wanting to waste time by re-taking classes i already passed? lol

The real question is not you should retake it or not, the question is can you handle it for the second time taking? It is wise to find out what make you fail the class or do not do well. To answer your question, retake cal I and get an A, otherwise, it will be difficult to convince the school to accept you.

I wouldn't bother. You need to show that you can handle new classes and do well in them. If you get good grades from here on out, I doubt a couple of Cs are going to affect you too much.

Very true, just make sure you start to show an upward trend in grades and nail the rest of your classes and you'll be fine.

Cs get degrees, including Pharm.Ds... but err on the side of caution and stop getting them!

I got a C in a class I and I retook it and got an A. I got into two schools last time around and a couple of my interviewers even sort of laughed at me for bothering to retake it. That being said, most of my other courses were As with a B+/B here and there. Just an example.

I'd advise to do like the others say and retake Calculus then worry about getting As in your upper levels.
