Hello,

If I check "yes" on the question asking if I will re-take DAT, will they not review my application until my new DAT is submitted?

I already submitted applications with my current DAT scores but I am planning to re-take it on Dec.

Lets say my application is completed with "YES" checked on that question. Can I still be accepted without submitting my new DAT? or Do I must submit my new DAT regardless?

I'm asking because If I get an early decision, I have no reason to re-take it.

Thanks for your input.

December is quite late in the game for a new DAT score. I don't think most schools have the time to review your file twice...first to peak and see if you are good enough and then again with the new score? Generally they will put you in an incomplete file and consider your application after the scores are in, but December is pretty late for almost all schools.

So they won't review my application then? Even though my current DAT score is sufficient?
My current DAT score is above average. I'm only planning to re-take it just to be in 95+ percentile.

Well I am not sure then...maybe someone with similar experience can give better advice. But it seems inefficient for schools to peak at an application and invite for an interview if they like what they see..otherwise put you on the side and wait for new scores :/ They get thousands of applications and many people mark that they will be retaking, so I don't see why anyone would get special treatment. Do you have a 4.0 by any chance?

My GPA? if so, no. I wish I do but its close. I have 3.8 science GPA and 3.1 over all.
