With my pre-reqs mostly 10 years old at this point I'm looking a few of the red flags in my transcripts:

Physics II (C+)
Organic Chemistry II (C-)
Biochemistry II (C)

I also got a (D) in Calculus III which isn't a pre-req, just a bad grade. Anyway, with a cGPA of 3.33 and a BCPM of 3.06 I'm trying to decide if it's worth the time to re-take this very old courses, or to just try and do very well on the MCAT to hopefully offset them. There's no hope of raising the GPA with how many credits I have now from two B.S. degrees, so thanks for any advice!

Anything below a C needs to be retaken (prereqs at least) - thus Organic Chem II should be retaken. Other than that, it all depends on how well you remember the information and if you can be successful on the MCAT.

Don't retake calculus 3, geez.

I think you should re-take all the courses you did poorly in, especially considering your pre-reqs are 10+ years old. Even if your improved grades won't affect your overall GPA, adcoms will see the upward improvement and give you more consideration.

Haha, I wasn't really planning on Calc 3 being part of the re-takes but wanted to throw it out there. I do want to re-take the actual pre-reqs that I got the C's in, but regarding upward trend I did do slightly better in my post-bacc (3.40, which was in Computer Science). And thanks curbsideconsult!
