well, i was filling out my vanderbilt secondary today, and when i came to the part where you have to list all your pre-req coursework, i noticed they don't accept any AP credit, instead asking you to list higher level courses taken. i used AP credit to place out of general chemistry, and the only higher level chem courses i took were the organic I,II, lab sequence (and I already used these courses to address my organic requirement) and one upper-division intro to biochem course (3 credit hours).

what do you know about how strict vandy is about these pre-reqs? there is no way in hell i am going to be able to take 5 upper division chemistry hours before next fall...

i have no idea.
i'm in a very similar position - tested out of gen chem I and only took chem II before going onto the orgo series. i also went to a small liberal arts school that ran on a trimester system, so each of my classes only counted for 3.33 semester credits.
i guess we'll see . . . ?
:luck:

I would call. Surely they can't be that big of a deal if you've already got an interview? Somebody must've looked over the thing I would think. Who knows though... call.

i had the same problem. i placed out of gen chem with the AP. i completed a chem minor, and listed biochem and pharm courses to substitute. i first called vandy to verify that that would be ok, and they said it was fine. i would call before you do anything, but ill bet you're fine.
