I'm applying to 15 schools and can't decide which reach school to apply.

Torn between UPENN (accepts more women, closer to my boyfriend) or UCSF (love san francisco, lower GPA average). Also, I was thinking about USC but I'm not a huge fan of LA.

I got a 19 AA and have 3.53 from a top 10 public school so I'm pretty mid-range on stats.

(Other schools I'm applying to...
Minnesota
Marquette
Arizona School of Dentistry
Midwestern
Western
Howard
Nova
Tufts
BU
Crieghton
NYU
Case
Temple)

Any advice?
I'm not familiar with UPENN.
Are you a Cali resident?
If yes, you might still have a shot at UCSF.
If No, your chances may not be as high. I think their average DAT score last year was 20, but I know that UCSF is one of those schools, where they LOVEEEEE high GPAs. So, if your GPA was a bit higher UCSF was definitely the school for you. Neverthless, you should stilly apply for it, because there have been applicants with stats similar to yours who have gotten in.
I think your best bet is USC, because it's a private school and they don't have any of the residency nonsense. Your GPA and DAT matches with what they're looking for. What's the down side?
-USC's location...You don't wanna get shot before getting that DDS degree.
-Tuition...Can you afford ~350,000$?

USC's location is that BAD?! ... I don't wanna get shot on interview. lol

Thanks for the advice. I'm a Minnesota resident, but the ADEA book says UCSF does not give preference to in-state residents.

I'm willing to take out as many loans as need be to go to the best school I get into.

ha yea I don't mind being in a bad area of town but then my mom will constantly be checking up on me. haha

They take 66 Cali residents vs. only 14 out of state applicants. So you'd have much higher chances if you were a Cali resident. And I think this in a way is giving preference to in-state applicants.

You're so right, I just checked the stats. So now between Penn and USC...I guess I'll have to think about it. I probably have a better chance of getting into USC but I'd rather go to Penn.

Have you had any work done at CC? According to UPENN's website, they don't take any applicants, who have completed some of their prerequisites at CC. I was a transfer student myself. I completed some of my undergrad work at CC and then transferred to UCLA. Despite the fact that all my CC credits were UC transferable, UPENN wouldn't accept any of them.
So, if you're in the same situation, you might as well go with USC. They too have some rules and regulations against CC credit, but they're willing to bend them if they like your application. I have many friends who completed some of their units at CC, and still managed to get into USC.

I took one community college course, calculus. According to the ADEA book, UPenn accepts prerequisites taken in community college so that's strange their website say that. BU takes none! Does that mean I can't apply there? I'd be willing to retake the course my senior year of college if need be.

If you've only had a single class at CC you shouldn't worry about it.

Here's what I read on their website:

Transfer Students
Currently, the School of Dental Medicine is not considering transfer applications into the DMD program. This site will be updated should the policy change and applications become available.

Now I might have misinterpreted this.
This probably means that they don't accept students transferring from another dental school to UPENN.
Sorry, if I confused you in any way. You should be fine for UPENN.

Im pretty sure that means transferring from one dental school to their school. Like if someone decided they hated their dental school and wanted to transfer after D1 or something. UPENN should be fine with cc credits.

Are you URM? If not, remove Howard. You can add a second 'reach' school if you want.
