I've decided to apply for Pharm School next app cycle so I can have more time for volunteering, prereqs, and PCAT. That being said I would like to reach out to some of the local Pharm schools and try to establish a relationship with them to make the application process go more smoothly and also put-a-face-to-the-name so to speak. What methods have people used in the past to achieve this?

Thanks

Some schools offer info sessions, where you can hear about all the requirements and ask questions.

You can also schedule an appointment to have someone go over your transcript, where they'll make sure you have all the correct classes.

you can also call the schools to ask for like one-on-one phone appointments. might be a hit or miss though.

i was able to have a great convo with joel from ucsf, but wasn't able to talk to a live person at ucsd so :-/

Getting to know people (especially faculty and adcom) in the pharm schools you are interested in is definitely helpful. It will certainly give you a leg up when it comes time for them to make admissions decisions. PM me for details on how I made this work form me.
