Reaction to acceptance call

Seriously, how are you supposed to react when you get an acceptance call? haha

Just thank them a lot and then let them get back to making their calls? Keep it short and sweet so you don't sound like a overjoyed babbling idiot at a loss for words? haha

Step 3: yell loudly wherever you are it doesn't matter just yell out of happiness

This isn't really an answer to your question, but there's two guys at my state school that are in charge of calling the students and telling them that they were accepted, and one of them is a bit of a prankster. So he would call up students the morning of Dec 1st and ask them a completely random question about their application, and then just be like

Him: "Alright, sounds good talk to you later!"

Student: "... Was that all you were calling about?"

Him: "Yeah, what else would I be calling about?"

And then after toying with them for a couple minutes he'd finally tell them they were accepted. I don't even know how I'd handle my emotions in that sort of situation

I kept it together for the first 2 calls I got. But the day I got the acceptance call for the school that I currently attend, I put the phone on speaker (my Mom and my brother were in the doorway), and as soon as "Congratulations..." sounded throughout the room we all cheer-shrieked. No regrets on that one 🤣. The caller got a real kick out of it and laughed

As soon as you hear the news....
Just let your emotions go freely! Say the first thing that comes to mind, "THANK YOU SO MUCH I'M SO HAPPY!" This is a day you'll never forget! I personally didn't know how to react at first, I sounded very confused and somewhat awkward on the phone but then it hit me after the call ended, and I felt incredible. Cried a crapload too CONGRATS TO THOSE THAT GOT ACCEPTED!

This may be TMI but I was in the bathroom when I got one my calls. I didn't know what to do so I still answered. I probably sounded pretty awkward and a little less enthusiastic than the others. Glad that they don't use FaceTime to make the calls! 😛
