I have the eyeQ cd. It can improve your reading speed, but it takes about a month to complete the course. You can't just use the program for a week and expect to see a difference.
one trick i picked up is to move your finger across the page as you read. if you move your finger at a fast pace, and continue to move it as you make your way down the page, the amount of time lost to drifting to reread sections is decreased. i practiced and i increased my reading speed by 40% in a few days, with about the same retention.
i think i've heard EyeQ only improves how fast your eyes can scan words on a page. that this software utilizes lessons that only exercise the eye (follow the dots flying across the monitor). it sounds a bit gimmicky, but i'd be more interested if it were super effective. i want to mega speed read like Howard Berg.
