reading comp. question

just wondering, after you do your RC practice test do you really go over and read the explanations for the solutions? i mean i find out which ones are right but reading the explanations...how is that helpful? i mean every passage is different and you're not really studying anything by reading the explanations
I tend not to read rc explanations since they didn't help in future test, plz advice am I hurting my self by not doing that??

This is just me and what works for me, but I typically do not read the explanations unless I had a particularly difficult time comprehending what the passage what was saying. I think most people's issue with Reading Comp is not one of understand but rather one of speed. The answers are there in front of you,but the idea is what strategy will work for you best for you to finish all the passages in time without having to guess on the last 5-10.
