Reading Comprehension Help

Hello, I am having trouble with the reading comprehension and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. It is mostly a time management issue since I haven't gotten around to answering all of the reading comprehension questions.

I've tried reading the entire passage and summarizing each paragraph in a few words. This has helped me understand the purpose of the entire passage when it comes to the questions that require you to understand the entire passage, etc, but I feel that reading it takes up a lot of time.

I've tried the Kaplan method where I summarized each topic sentence in a few words and then jotted down key words for each paragraph.

I haven't been able to complete the reading comprehension section in a timely manner, and I was wondering if anyone could kindly help me by giving some tips, techniques, or advice about improving my speed.

hello, honestly...i never read the entire passage...took the DAT in july and was able to answer the questions just fine using the search and destroy method...i would read the question first, then find the answer...and by the time i got to like the last 7 questions I would have already pretty much finished the whole passage..try it out, see if it works for you 🙂

I read the entire passage quickly and then did the questions. I never tried the other strategies though. You could try reading some scientific articles and work on your speed though.
