Reading Comprehension Strategy?

What did you guys use as your strategy on the Reading Comprehension? Some people who read the questions and then skimmed the passage for the answers on practice tests, said this didn't work on the actual DAT. Is this true? Which practice tests (DAT Achiever, Kaplan subject tests, Kaplan Blue Book, Topscore) were closest to the actual RC portion of the real test? What strategy did you guys use?

i personally preferred just answering the Q and not reading the passage. it saves alot of time trust me.
