english is my second language so i don't think its possible for me to score higher than 18 in the reading section in the dat, unless i get easy to read passages.
do you think that i will be fine if i get 16 or 17 in the reading section?

Hey, don't settle for that. I'm also an "english as a 2nd language" student and got a 21 on my RC. It's totally possible. Use Kaplan's roadmap method or at least try it and see if it'll work for you too. I felt that it kept my thoughts organized and it kinda gave me an idea where the answers will be for the questions. Just keep practicing and don't settle for a 16 or 17. Aim for a 20+ and you'll get around the 18-19-20s. If you aim for 16-17's you'll either get that or lower.
