Hey Guys,

I really need a lot of suggestions and advice on the following problem, so please try to help me out as much as possible. I would really appreciate all your advices.

Here i go:

I purchased the Crack DAT Reading and i was going through the passages. I have done 4 tests so far (each test consists of 3 passages just like the RC section of DAT) and my score are within the range 15-17. This has really disappointed me and discouraged me to such a degree that i feel like studying for all the sections except RC because of the low scores i get.

When doing PAT practice tests in CRACK DAT PAT and my starting scores were 19-20 and now after a week of practice, my scores have raised to atleast 22-23. I mentioned this because i followed the same method to practice for RC using the CRACK DAT Reading but my scores dont seem to be improving and now i am very confused.

Is it that the CRACK DAT Reading is not an exact/adequate practice material for RC section in DAT and that is why my scores are low because i tried solving passages from the Kaplan BB and i get a higher score to about 20-21. Therefore this hints that the passages in Kaplan BB are too easy or the passages in CRACK DAT Reading are hard and not a good practice material to the real DAT? Or maybe i need to keep practicing more? I am very confused. Please advice

what strategy are you using for RC?

i tried to use search and destroy method which i am comfortable with.

i also used this strategy by Vicviper: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=615852

i was not that comfortable with vicviper's strategy although a lot of people said it effective and therefore i tried it out.

I also used the road map from Kaplan but this takes too long for me..

I have tried it all but i dont know what exact method to use.

I would also like to know how much time is right enough to be prepared for the RC section in average for most of the people.

I also got Crack Dat Reading. I can't remember my scores exactly, but if you want them, let me know, I'm sure I can find them somewhere.

I didn't really like it because the type of passages and questions were not like the real thing. The only thing that i liked about it is that I got to practice reading and answering questions under a time limit.
