I'm about to start two MFM rotations and was wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction of good chapters to read to prepare me for my sub-Is. I have access to both Gabbe and Williams.

I'm also interested in finding a good gyn text for next year and beyond. Is that TeLinde? Are there others for all of gyn?

Thanks!

Hey!

I did my MFM last month and used Williams. I would rec reading htn, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, pprom. I know that's broad but it's a great start!

Thanks for the advice! I'll start there.

Also consider reading the above-mentioned topic on UptoDate.com for a more updated summary as texts can often be outdated.

For our acting-interns, I often have them wait until they start on service with us. From there, we assign them topics related to the patients on the service (or ones they are following), rather than having them read a myriad of topics.

Lastly, as for texts for medical students/residents, I prefer Gabbe (writing style), but either option is completely fine.
Good luck on the rotation.
