Does anyone think these examples are representative of the DAT? I took the Kaplan free test today, and the passages seemed much longer than these...

Check out the free tutorial on Ada's website, the reading passage there (I think about lightning) is fairly representative.

No. The DAT has passages between 15-20 paragraphs long for each passage.
