I completed UW with 58% correct and re-did all of my wrong questions. I took notes throughout and studied those. I also read MTB twice, thoroughly and did the CCS cases, and now I'm redoing the ones I found to be tough. I just finished med school and I want to get step 3 out of the way. Am I in a good position to pass this exam?

That is probably overkill and you will do fine. Most of the other surgical and surgical sub-specialty interns in my class either did a few hundred questions on stuff that we never see (OB, Peds) or just walked in cold and did fine. And we are probably the most disadvantaged taking the test since most of the test is primary care based and our internship is far removed from that arena. Remember the rule of 2's for studying for steps: 2 weeks for step 1, 2 days for step 2, and #2 pencil for step 3. Good luck.

I did okay. I'm also an IMG. Does this change things?

The rule as I heard it was 2 MONTHS for step 1, 2 WEEKS for step 2 and a #2 pencil for step 3. You must be smarter than the rest of us if you were prepared in such short intervals.😱

You are right on your version, I was off by a factor

Anyone with any last minute tips? Taking it tuesday/wednesday. Reread MTB again, reviewed my UW notes and did the CCS cases again (all of them) I think I ran out of things to study! Any advice would be great!

Yes, please post your post score feedback if you think MTB and UW were sufficient study materials needed to pass. Many talk about using Crush, but I don't want to overload on books if not necessary. Thanks!
