is it unethical or illegal to prewrite secondaries or to pass on the secondary prompt information to other students. Intuition says no, but i just wanted to make sure. It's obviously easy to get away with and no one would catch you...

really dumb question, i know.

No it's not illegal. I'm sure medical schools assume that many applicants pass on this type of info to their own colleagues who may still be waiting for a secondary invite.

I have never heard anything suggesting this would be unethical. In fact, Western Michigan's facebook page seems to encourage prewriting their secondary. https://www.facebook.com/WMUSchoolofMedicine/posts/722610904468859

i think MUCOM got a little upset in this year's application thread for passing on the prompts, but they just said it's essentially "Frowned upon" since they only send it to some people they dont' want everyone having it. not really sure how it hurts them in any way though.

you'll be fine to share and pre-write.

oh ok, i took this thread to be talking about sharing prompts.

i wouldn't ever share answers haha. hard enough making those sound personal as it is, don't need exact or close copies floating around!
