Applied for the 2016-2017 cycle, 2 interviews, 2 waitlists, 0 acceptances. NYITCOM-A-state/LECOM SH
Sent LOI, updates, etc. Keeping my hopes high, but I still have to be realistic
cGPA: 3.32
sGPA: 3.19
MCAT: 498
Year and a half of immunology research
10+ years of Youth group leadership experience; worked closely in community for underprivileged kids
300+ hours of volunteering
Helped start Pilot program at Kaiser hospital specifically for the healthcare of geriatric patients (now a full running program) in my hometown
2 years of medical scribe experience for private IM physician
1 year working for non-profit agency specializing in community resources/enhancement
Shadowed both MD/DO
Lots of leadership experience during undergrad
Need help deciding whether to attend a post bacc program, or just rewrite MCAT, or both. Kinda in the middle between everything and feel pretty lost about it, including the anxiety of waiting another year to reapply is daunting, with another year of waiting to matriculate. If anyone that has been in my particular shoes can chime in, that'd be awesome!
