Looks like I’m not getting in this cycle...

I have two questions:

1. If I apply to schools I did not previously apply to, can I keep my original rec letters?

2. For schools that I already applied to, who should I ask for additional rec letters? I will be shadowing some more, finishing a language degree, and will be working at a blood donation center. I’m also in student government.

What?

1. You can keep as many LORs as you want as long as your writers resubmit them the next application cycle.

2. LORs aren’t the largest factor in applying to medical school. MCAT, GPA and ECs are. You can reuse the same LORs you submitted to previous schools. If you do not get an II this cycle, you need to work on MCAT, GPA, or adequate ECs.

I’m retaking the MCAT in May
