Hey,
So im going to be a reapplicant and i will be having new LORs written for me (by diff professors). however im wondering, when they review my app will they also look at my LORS from my previous app? im not getting a committee letter, so it would be 3 LORS from each cycle.
Also, since i didnt get in this cycle, I just want to perfect my app for next cycle. So do you think its a bad idea if i were to go to my profs who wrote my LORS already (for the cycle i didnt get in) and just ask them what they emphasized in my letters? and if they wrote only totally positive things, or just sort of get a good gist as to what they wrote about me? I just dont want my LORS to be holding me back at all, not that i can think of a reason that they would be, but i think ive become paranoid through this whole process.....or would asking my reccomenders these questions be wrong/bad/inappropriate?

It's only January bro.
Keep your hopes up, you'll hear some news soon.
FYI, you don't technically need all new LOR's. Keep some and add like 1 new professor who can write how you improved since your last cycle.

Asking them what they wrote is implying that the reason you did not get acceptance is because of the lors they wrote. Most, if not all ds do not keep old applications on file.

You might wanna be careful about this, some professors might be offended with this. Cause your basically saying "hey I didn't get in and I wanna make sure your LOR didn't screw me"

thanks for the responses, Yea i can see how it could look bad as if im almost blaming them for not being accepted (which im definitley not, im just worried!). Thats why i was iffy about contacting them. I guess if i do it ill have to think of a nice way to inquire about it....because i am too curious, i need to know.
Also, i didnt know that doctoothache, Thats intresting and may be favorable or unfavorable? Im not sure what the truth is though, perhaps ill have to contact the schools and ask them directly to make sure
