So I applied last year and bombed a few interviews which led to me being rejected. some of the schools i really liked like mwu az and tufts. i really liked these schools and def would wanna go there. i was really dissapointed with my tufts rejection, considering the accept like 80% of those interviewed. so please, dont ask me specific questions regarding the interviews or what mt stats are and whatnot. if given the chance to interview again i would def do things differently. i've learned from last years mistakes and have worked to improve myself and my application.

does anyone here know how things work for reapplicants like me? do the schools judge me with a new clean slate again or do they refer back to when you interviewed before?

Each school is different. My state school where I interviewed told me that I was missing a pre-rec and being in the last round of interviews, I'm hoping thats the main reason I didn't get in. I know some schools reconsider you if you are interviewed and wait-listed. My state school said you have a clean slate and they don't take into consideration that you've been interviewed before. My advice is to call tufts.

You must have good stats because you received few interviews last cycle. I would definitely apply and work on my interview/presentation.

Did you call them to find out why you were denied? Most of the schools will at least let you know why they shot you down if they liked you enough to get you to an interview. If possible, I would try and find out why they rejected you. If they didn't like you, then no I would not re-apply.
I have a friend that had killer stats and got a few interviews. He was pretty much a lock for a spot in school. He ended up getting rejected from both places. After he called them to find out why they rejected him, one of the schools basically told him, "You had your spot locked up until you showed up for your interview." I don't know if he was too arrogant, or if he just didn't interview well at all.
Bottom line, FIND OUT WHY YOU GOT SHOT DOWN and go from there.

the less information you provide, the lesser the quality of feedback you will receive.

I completely agree, my buddy that is trying to get into med/do school he did this last cycle so he could improve his application/interview/stats.

Well, you really need to provide some details on the failed interviews to receive useful feedback.

I mean how do we know your rejection was just a case of having the jitters at the interview or not knowing enough of the school or ripping a loud fart or something strange like that.

So open up and we'll help you out the best we can.

apply again, i'm sure your not the first

ok heres the thing, my stats are decent; it got me 3 interviews. my problem was just that i messed up badly. one of the schools i just didnt know what i was talking about, but at the other there were a few awkward moments. the interviewer lady at one of the schools was really young, really hot, great bust. i had trouble making eye contact with her throughout the interview and she noticed. i dont know what to say, if i was a girl i'd take it as a complement, but she wasnt too happy (kinda stuck up). she called me out on it and i dont know what the hell she was saying, i was trying not to laugh, i just said something off topic.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: Classic!

I'm thinking that schools keep a record of the previous year's applicants so they refer to it for reapplicants in the current cycle and compare any differences in candidacy. In your case, there would definitely be a note about what you described at the interview.

Out of curiosity, was the hot interviewer chick showing cleavage? Because if she was, then that's more her fault and unfair to the interviewee. I would file a complaint for her unprofessionalism.

It's so wrong when a girl with a nice rack dresses slutty to flaunt it and then acts/pretends disgusted when dudes are checking it out. It's like c'mon girl, that's what you wanted the whole time lol. smh.

if you cant control yourself in an interview, how are you going to interact with attractive patients? That is why she was not happy.

If she called you out on it then it must have been glaringly obvious. I would kiss that school goodbye. It would be funny if they invited you back for an interview and had the same woman do the interview just to see how you would respond. IMO you wont get a "second look" from that school.

You see a hot girl and you can't look at her? I think its time for you to go to a bar and learn how to pick up girls. It helps. 😀

I think you should reapply to these schools anyway. I dont think they remember you for that long. Plus, you are not the only one who messes things up during the interview.

Yeah, but I don't think there are too many who get called out for gazing at a rack.

Some interviewers are so rude!

If you can't stop staring at your interviewer's tits, what would happen if you had a patient come in? Stare at her tits, miss her teeth and drill her gums?

I would suggest you search up some porn on the internet and watch it every day until you are desensitized. It's called habituation. You have to make sure that no amount of cleavage can deter your focus.

If a hot + nice boobs patient come in, ill make sure that I use our laughing gas to calm her down.

Is this post for real? Who would let themselves get caught staring at their interviewers boobs? I'm calling BS on that story.
