This past cycle I was an unsuccessful MD applicant with a top-heavy school list. I had a change of heart recently and am looking to go MD PhD. I have my WAMC below, but I wanted to know if a failed MD cycle is going to be an issue in terms of going for the dual degree this year. I’m also looking for a good school list because I’m not entirely sure how to go about applying to MD PhD programs.

A bit too high... perhaps, you learned it the hard way. PM me and we can discuss MD/PhD list. While it will include your dream schools, you will realize quickly that you need to spread out your chances. There are only 13 programs with more than 13 MD/PhD slots, everybody else in your list should be between 5-12 slots per class. Thus, MD/PhD applicants must apply broader than MD applicants. You have the experiences... For MD/PhD, state of residency does NOT matter, for several MD programs it does matter. Start by examining table B-8: 2020 FACTS: Enrollment, Graduates, and MD-PhD Data
