Applied to like 18 schools, no interviews, rejections from a bunch. Just wondering for advice/hope for next cycle.
well so my stats...
3.10 sci
3.07 bcp
3.32 overall
17 QR
18 GC
19 BIO
20 OC
22 RC
24 PAT
19 TS 19 AA 24 PAT
Strong in other areas... 200 shadowing hrs, worked at a dental lab for a yr, 3 yrs. of research with 2 co-author publications, service, etc etc.
obviously I know the sci is low, and I'm taking tons of upper sci courses to boost. Hoping to get close to a 3.3 sci, with an overall of like 3.45-3.5 ish.
I've talked with some advisors who have said my DAT is great and not to worry about it. But I just got off the phone with Midwestern, and they told me they didn't like the 17 in QR (this kinda surprised me) and that 20-21 TS/AA is what I should have to be considered for next year. He said they don't really interview anyone under that. Anyone heard if most schools have an informal cutoff with the DAT score like this? Should I retake (I really don't want to), or will some schools give me a shot next yr. with a bit higher GPA?
Thanks for the input.
