I got rejected from asdoh for the class of 2010, but I plan on reapplying this cycle. Is there anybody out there who got accepted to asdoh after reapplying and what changes did you make?

I think there are a couple of guys around here in that boat, hopefully they'll find this thread and post their experiences. It can be done, but the competition doesn't get easier from year to year, that's for sure.

Mailis,

Sorry about the postponement. I was waitlisted and rejected the first time I applied to ASDOH and I spent the next year working as a dental assistant. Please search my previous posts if you want to see how to do this without going to school for it. If you can swing an assistant gig at a community health center, that would be all the better. If ASDOH is your top choice, I would definitely focus on stuff like that (Community Health Centers, Indian Health Services) That kind of experience and a good LOR from them can go a long way to show your commitment to ideals espoused by ASDOH. If you happen to be in Utah, apply for a job at Clinical Research Associates in Provo. That would be very valuable experience at any dental school.

Good Luck!
