Hey...

what are the chances you apply next yr and getting accepted.. I mean if i don get accepted this yr does it look good to apply again to saame schools and stuff next year.
Did any one do that ??

that was me this year! but don't give up yet, it's still early--some schools are still interviewing.

however, if you're going to reapply make sure you do something to improve your application. get a tech license, re take certain classes, volunteer, etc.

best of luck

Hey remember me? I was at the interview too. How did your interview go?
I think I did pretty bad...its like they were out to get me  I find myself on the defensive most of the time :scared:

If you don't get accepted this year, ask the school on how to improve your application (maybe higher PCATs, more experience, etc).

Chances are same as you first apply unless you improve your application. I'm re-applying this year again and I have been thinking a lot about how to imrove my application.

The way I see it, if you were able to back up your answers with logic and reasoning, you probably didn't so bad. Every interviewer has his/her own style of interviewing. In my opinion, if an interviewer puts you through a stress test, he/she probably likes you and just wants to test your limits.

I bolded the problem...I have a good PCAT score (at least I think a 86 is good), but they kept hammering me about my GPA and my weaknesses (they ask me what it is)...I thought one of the most toughest (caught me off guard) was what are you doing to prepared yourself for the tough curriculum of pharm school? I didn't know what else to say, so I told them that I think working as a pharm tech would help me 😡

dijital, if you have taken a lot of upper level science courses, you should mention that also. Also show that you're making a conscious effort to know more about the pharmaceutical industry (try reading drug topics)

For now, stay positive about this year and your chances of getting in! If it doesn't work out, contact the schools and see what you need to improve on to make yourself more competitive for the next admissions cycle.

Ditto to SoccerCoach's recommendation, I would also mention that you did well on the PCAT, which isn't a walk in the park. This demonstrates your ability to perform your best under tremendous stress and pressure.

Good luck! :luck:

Yes Thanks a lot

I think you may want to work on your communication and grammatical skills... I am saying this to help- not to be mean. It is of the upmost importance that you portray yourself as a professional (even if English is your second language- I don't know if it is- I am just guessing). To increase your odds next year, take a demanding load while working full time and ace all of your classes. Working as a tech is fine... but remember most applicants are doing that- you need to set yourself apart from the bunch... take this time to shine... do something extraordinary.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Alby, thanks for the advice. I know that my grammatical "skills" need some improvement but I'm getting interview so I don't think that that's the problem. It was just that my school of choice was my first interview and I'm very disappointed with my performance, I think I will do much better on future interview though.
