Hey guys, last year I applied to D.O schools with a mediocre score of 22 on the mcat, i wasn't well prepared and had taken the mcat quite late, and couldn't retake for last year's application cycle. I'm reapplying this year and I'm retaking the mcat on july 24. Is this mcat too late for this cycle? I know i will do better on this mcat this time around, and I have more confidence/preparation then last year. Will a higher mcat improve my chances to get in, despite being a reapplicant? My current stats is 3.6 cgpa and a 3.2 sgpa. Any tips/suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance

Don't think its too late. I took it last September and was lucky enough to get in. Just make sure you re-adjust your PS accordingly. I hope you have continued to do more activities to enrich your application and update it. Beside a better score in MCAT, I would make sure you will continue to shadow and may be get at least one more form a doc and hopefully get a LOR (Better if its a DO). Good luck.
