I just called the admissions office at UCLA to ask about my application status because all it says on my status check page is that my UC app was received 8/22 .. nothing else, no secondary, nothing. The guy, who was really nice actually, looked up my file and said the reason I am not being considered is because they don't have my MCAT score from AMCAS. But, I took the test MORE THAN A YEAR AGO, and released them way in advanced, so I dont know what's going on. And, this problem isn't just with UCLA. My application isn't complete at UPENN and Georgetown either because of missing MCAT scores ... and, i called AMCAS multiple times over the past 3 weeks to make sure my scores are released, and everytime, they claim that they have been released ... grrr ... i feel like i'm stuck in some weird black hole between what AMCAS says and what medical schools tell me AMCAS does ....so, on a brighter note, if you haven't received UCLA's secondary, don't lose hope yet, it could be just part of ongoing AMCAS incompetency. make sure they have your scores. whew, that was some venting on my part. thanks for listening guys! 🙂
