The "SDN addiction" thread got me thinking. But I started a new thread, because this is a bit of a different topic.
SDN regulars: what are your reasons for being a regular on SDN? Is it purely addiction? 🙂 (I doubt). Or is it a conscious choice to be a part of this forum for a particular reason- professional development, gaining information, debating issues important to our field?
I ask, because I find this forum fascinating, and before I find myself devoting hours of time to it, I want to clarify for myself what I will gain from participating. (because I certainly don't need a second facebook to allow me to procrastinate).
And a second question, do you participate in other professional forums as well? And if so, which ones. I know ABCT has a listserv that gets a lot of action, too.
