I have two quick questions that I can't seem to find answers to. When does the AADSAS application for the next application process come out, and when should I start asking for my letters of recommendations to be written? It's already been confirmed that they will be written, but I'm just not sure when I should ask them to actually start writing them.

Mainly I don't know how they could submit them if they didn't have anywhere to submit them to. Unless I'm just confused about this whole process in general....

AADSAS application doesn't open until June 2nd. You can't submit anything until that date. It's good that you're asking for letters now though, so by the time June 2nd rolls around they will be ready.

If you're going through your school's committee, I imagine your professors would submit the letters to the committee office. Otherwise, you can have your letter writers submit theirs through Interfolio. The sooner you have them in, the better. That way you don't panic once the application opens in June since not all professors will send them on time, which will stress you out in the process of waiting.

I didnt have a committee letter. I had 2 professors write me a letter. I would start the conversation with your professors during the spring semester. Make sure you have back ups just incase one doesn't get back to you. A lot of professors disappear over the summer.

So does that mean I can't even make a profile or start anything in advance to make the application process easier? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I've got most of my credentials in line, just not in the know about the entire application process.

You are correct. You can't start filling out the application or anything for entry year 2017 until June.

Ok cool. And it's best to get every application in as soon as possible once they come out? Do schools release their application essay questions before that date as well so that I could get some of those out of the way? Or is that the soonest I can start to get the ball rolling?

Yep make sure you submit your transcripts and letters ASAP when the application opens. The earlier you submit the better. Most schools send their secondary application (which includes additional essay prompts) after you submit the AADSAS application. If you want to inquire about a specific school's essay prompt you might be able to find some information from current applicants on the school specific forums.

Cool thanks a lot for the info.
