So, i'll be applying next year.
For Tufts it requires 1 letter from a biology professor. However, the biology professor who I had for Biology and Genetics is no longer at my university. I don't think he got tenure, thats why. So what do I do? Also, if I did research with a biology professor (did not have a class with her) would that count?

Your research biology professor should be fine.

Best way to know for sure: call Tufts and ask them.

Several options you can do.

1) If you can get credit for your research, that might be able to do work. Some schools have that. I know some people for med school do that. But I've heard some schools say that they want a lecture-based LOR professor BUT that a lab-based class that has LECTURE also works too.

2) Try to find the professor? It doesn't matter if they're still with the university or not. If you've had them and they know your capabilities, it should still work.
