I took my DAT in August so my application was 100% complete as of the 28th. Right now, all of the statuses under my School Decisions tab are either "Received/App Complete" or "Received/Under Review."

As far as the review process goes, does "Under Review" come after "App Complete"? In other words, if it says my application is under review, should I assume that they have everything?

Thanks in advance!

I am sure schools post updates at different times or not at all. I called Tufts today and it seems that "under review" means they are checking to see if anything is missing from the application and "application complete" means that they have all of the necessary documents to make their decision.

I have had both of those in my portal. All of my App Completes have turned into Under Reviews. I had the Recieved/Under Review status prior to receiving interviews. I also had the App Complete Status and now it just changed to Received/Under Review. I think the App Complete is earlier on in the process and App under review is later. The reason I think this is all my App Reviews have turned into interviews and all my app completes turned into app reviews. I'm not expecting anything that becomes an app review to turn into an interview-I just got lucky thus far. Good Luck Everyone!
The schools this happened for was West VA, Louisville, VCU, and CWRU

I thought that too. One of my schools had "App Complete" for a long time, so I called them on Tuesday. They said that they will change it to "Under Review" this week because it was about to go under review. They did change it that day, and on the portal, it showed as "Under Review." Now, this morning, it got switched back to "App Complete" again. Why do you think this would happen? My stats and background are pretty competitive, so I don't think this is a rejection (or maybe it is, who knows). Should I call that school again? Why do you think it would change like that?

So for one school that I am scheduled for an interview is "under review". They are not accurate at all. so i dont rely on that except for the obvious red flag status like missing doc or waiting on doc.

I have some schools that went from under review to app complete and vice versa which has me nervous.

yea, I think schools vary with the interpretation of those statuses and also how frequently they are updated. For the sake of my anxiery I'll probably stop checking that tab evry five minutes.

So no one has been able to find a distinguishable difference? Two of mine went from "review" to "complete". Hope that doesn't mean I got rejected.

Has anyone called the schools to check what it means? I'm thinking of doing that...

Last cycle under review vs app complete did not seem to make a difference for some schools. Some schools i got into never even changed my app to anything besides under review and some schools updated it all the time. Your best bet is to look at school specific threads to see what is going on with other peoples status, and even then don't take it too seriously as it really seems to be low on dental school's priority list to accurately update the students status with aadsas.
