I always say to my colleagues that I'm very glad there was no child psych hospital withing striking distance of me and my youthful spirit. I'm convinced that if I pulled the pranks that I did closer to one of these institutions, I would have a (+) admit history in my H&P.

No psychiatrist should think that's funny, because it's a very direct (and very accurate) dig at the psychiatric establishment. They're dissing you.

Agreed. Sometimes in team meetings when people are discussing whether to call CPS, I think it's a good thing there was never a team meeting about all the hijinks between my brother and me. It's a wonder we didn't both end up with psych admits and/or spinal cord injuries.

OMG!!! I LOVED The Journal of Polymorphous Perversity!!! There was another, too -- irreproducible results, maybe? But JPP was the best -- and no one ever seems to have heard of them.

You are now my hero.
