recent interview cancels at UPitt??

Hey all, so I'm currently lined up for an interview at Pitt in mid-March, which, from my understanding puts me at a serious disadvantage. Considering Pitt is one of my last chances to get in ANYWHERE, I'd really REALLY like to switch to an earlier date. If any of you folks out there then have recently cancelled interviews at Pitt, or plan to in the near future, please do post and give the day you had. You'll automatically become my most favoritist person in the whole wide world!

ive got an interview march 1 that i would like to cancel if another school comes in this week or next. im not sure this will help you much, if you are interested PM me and we can work something out

Yeah, I don't think we can change once we schedule. It's a gamble, the longer you wait, the later you will interview. People may cancel but that doesn't guarantee that they will open up an earlier spot on the status page. I felt the same way as you and just wound up scheduling for early march. Good luck!! Hey relax...I am a current MS-I, student interviewer at Pitt. Pitt intentionally will leave slots open until interviews end. (i.e. - you will be interviewing for a slot - not a wait list position)

It's kind of hard for me to believe you have an interview at a school like Pitt and you can't get in ANYWHERE else. Did you even apply to your state school?

oh yeah, I applied to my state school (UIC) of course. Like just about every other school I've applied to though, they decided to waitlist me. So far, I've gotten 8 interviews (which is good I know), but these have been the results of them....5 waitlists 😕 , 1 reject 😡 , 1 i wont hear from until mid-feb, and 1 yet to be completed (Pitt).
