ladies and gentlemen, If this is confusing, but you have an idea of what I am saying, please help out and fill us in with detailed explanations about the topics.
1) Receptors- expressing and knocking out receptor expression. Please someone, fill me on the details of this as concisely as you can.
Block/suppress (knockout receptor gene) in conjunction with the administration of some drug or something else.
2) Wild type mice and mutant (knockout) mice (different notations +/+ and -/- ) I am familiar with this generic research method. Usually the point is to determine the effectiveness of some type of drug. Feel free to add onto this.
The graphs associated with this research typically compares levels of some protein/hormone/molecule (i.e glucose) to some standard measure (time, percent drug administered blah blah blah).
