I was wondering if anyone new of a DO school that has reciprocity with Arkansas. We do not have a DO school here, therefore, it is much more competitive at OOS schools..(obvioulsy) However, some programs, IE Baylor Dental ( no dental school here either) offers a deal for Arkansas resident students, allowing their application to be in the in state applicant pool...(sounds weird) Neway wonder if there are any DO schools like that out there or other schools that do not favor instate applicants...thanks

For you to get DO reciprocity from Arkansas, you'd have to convince the Arkansas legislature to fork out money to an out-of-state DO school, and get that out-of-state DO school to reserve seats for AR residents. Which makes no sense with AR ponying up for its own state MD school. They'll add seats to the existing school before they'll shop out more seats. (Aside: this would be one of the areas where "DO=MD" breaks down, in the current limboland where nobody wants to evangelize the "O" nor get rid of it.)

And don't get the idea that being in-state is all that beneficial for the 22 states that have DO schools. Only Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia have substantial instate support (more than $10k per year). You can save a few thousand by being instate at other DO schools. BFD.
