Looks like I am going to be on my own for embryology, so I wonder if someone could recommed an embryology text that they actually read (at least partially) and liked. I have HY embryology, and think I may need to understand things in a little greater depth than that - its only a 40 pg pamphlet, really.

Also, I know this sounds like a very basic question, but is there a separate book out there that somebody liked for the fetus, or can you get a good text that covers it all?

moore and persuard's developing human had really good diagrams and good section on pharngeal apparatus (ie head and neck)
i also preferred brs embryo over hy; but i guess if you've already purchased hy not a big deal

Langman's Medical Embryology is pretty much the standard text. It covers every aspect of general embryology and then the special embryology of each organ and system. There's also really good clinical correlations. Depending on how much you love embryology it may not be worth purchasing but its good to refer to and pick up where other books leave off... Good luck 🙂

High Yield embryology is 150 pages, and is good enough.

HY embryo first edition is about 40 pages, the second edition is about 150 so it might be what you may need. Or you could always go with brs embryo if you need more info.

moore and persuard's developing = Befor We are Born by Moore & Persuard's ...I think they are the same .

👍 Good Figures and illustrations

👍 Covers the clinical part very well

👍 Also goes by the body systems

It is a good referance too .....

Good Luck
