Hello,
I would like to hear positive / recommended courses for learning implant placement and restoration. And which courses you dont recommend (waste of money, and not a good educational experience etc)

I really appreciate your input.

As a surgeon, I would highly recommend courses given at the Pikos Institute by Dr. Michael Pikos in Trinity, Florida.

These courses tend to run 3-to-4 days, have an intimate, small group where there is good interaction between the presenters and the participants, and are nicely divided into didactic, practical, and live-case presentations. Dr. Pikos is a consummate professional and clinician.

The courses are surgically-oriented, but there is always a strong prosthetic input. Many of the people I have met there are general dentists.

For me personally, I don’t like large courses where there are many presenters discussing one issue, where each presentation boils down to, “This is how I do it.“ Few people do it the same, and rarely do people present any long-term data or follow up.

Thank you. Have you taken this course / or did you teach it?

Have you guys heard of AAID Maxicourse? I want to take it in Vancouver, BC.

I have only been an attendee, not a presenter/faculty.
