Hi, two years ago I worked in a busy CVS under a pharmacist and a pharmacist who was the pharmacy manager. My question is should I ask one or both of them for a recommendation. I had a good relationship with both but I'm wondering if it might not be better to just ask the manager. any thoughts?

Both would be great. Just don't forget to ask a faculty member as well. I think you are pretty much set if they still remember you and can write you a great letter of recommendation.

Well since you are doing all of this to become a PHARMACIST it is very important to get a PHARMACIST LOR.... 2 LOR's from pharmacists are perfectly fine and if you can do that then I probably would. I actually got 2 LOR's from pharmacists at my CVS store and then another from my Genetics professor. Getting LOR's from pharmacists isn't necessarily just to prove you have work experience but it allows for the adcom. to get an accurate representation of your potential in this field. Just put yourself in the position of someone on an adcom. in this situation - Do you think you could gauge a applicant's potential to be a great pharmacist from a leader of a volunteer service with whom the applicant only seen a few hours/days or an actual pharmacist in the field with whom the applicant has worked closely with for a longer period of time? I know the pharmacist LOR would definitely carry more weight than some leader of an unrelated activity in my book....
