I would like to apply to DO schools, but I don't know a physician to get a remmondation letter from. Does anyone know if there is an Osteopathic school that does not require a recommendation letter from a doctor as part of the application?

Thanks.

There are some DO schools I remember looking at that DO NOT require a letter of recommendation from a DO, but say that it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. My advice was that it was a great experience for me working with a DO and you can see first hand if it is for you as well. Also getting a good recommendation from one can greatly increase your chances of at least an interview because they know you truly want to go into the profession.

Here is a link where you can locate a DO in your area.

http://directory.aoa-net.org/cfm/PublicSearch.cfm

You can also go to the osteopathic students link on sdn website and locate one there as well.

PM me if you need anything else but I'm sure current osteopathic students can be more help.
