Recommender's title

In the OptomCAS Application, what do I put under the "Recommender's Title (Dr., Mr., Mrs., etc.)" If the recommender is only an optometrist. He only has his O.D.

I know that's a silly question, but we do call optometrists "Doctors" but as far as titles go, what do they get? Mr./Mrs. X Y or Dr. X Y

How does OptomCAS know that the letters are being sent from an Optometrist or Science Faculty or Etc.?

Looking at my OptomCAS, yea, it seems like OptomCAS will not know (OD or PhD holder).

However, Admission Committee (from the institution your applying for) will know as they will see OD or PhD at the end of your letter of rec's name once those letters are read. Also, some supplemental application, like PUCO, ask to specify who is the optometrist and professors for the Letter of Rec. requirements.

O.D = Doctor of optometry. So you would put doctor obviously. And optomcas doesn't have to know if they are a professor or OD but the school will know because the LOR will ask them to fill that out.

C'mon we all know that optometrists aren't "real doctors" but just glasses selling conmen 😀 OATAcer should know that with his/her 2.33 GPA.

OATAcer should also know that with a 2.33 cum GPA in undergrad, he/she has little likelihood if any of getting into somewhere like SUNY. Yet he/she is applying anyways. His/her last few posts all seem like he/she is trolling since I can hardly believe someone is legitimately asking simple questions like should I waive my right to read the letter of recommendation, when are the deadlines to school, unprofessionally belittling and flaming administration at ICO, etc...
