I've volunteered at a hospital for a total of 100 hours. I held an officer position of a club during Freshman year. Currently volunteering only 2 hours a week. Researching for 6 hours a week.

Witha good MCAT score and a broad application to several schools I think you have a very good shot at getting into medical school. Although I think you would benefit from additional clinical/ research exposure.

Looks like you are leaning towards a lot of classes that pre-meds take. Why the switch? Do you have any clinical experience? You have pretty good grades.

srsly do you have to ask?

Consider 4 hours of volunteering a week instead of two... As for researching, determine the minimum amount of work you'd need to put in for authorship on a publication, or a poster, or a presentation. If you like research, do more of that (10 hours/week at least, and more in the summer).

More importantly, the average applicant has 1+ year of clinical experience. See how you measure up in that department. The order of importance is clinical > volunteering > research, unless you are applying to a research-heavy school.

Grades... are fine. Consider 4 classes instead of 5 per term if they're starting to get hard and you're getting tired. If not, continue on.

You can get a career in the military from any medical school, either during medical school (HPSP) or even after graduation (FAP). You might want to go read the Mil Med forum on SDN before deciding on USUHS.
