How is the idea of recording UW explanations rather than writing then down ?? I recorded 3 blocks of it (around 2 hrs each block) it works well. Your suggestions needed. Thanks

Good idea in theory, but unfortunately in a week or so you will probably not be able to keep up with reviewing previous recordings.

I was fearing that too. But writing takes a lot of time / energy. I record the content when I review each Question

I think it's easier just to annotate your reading source in a specific color, so you can figure out what jump you have to make from the reading content to what they are asking for on the question to get it right. It's a lot easier to review questions that way, you can just flip pages, you can't do that with an audio source. I am more of a visual learner though, depends on your style.

I hear stupid ideas daily, but this one is especially so.
Very inappropriate way of responding. If you can't help then who have given you the permission to disgrace any one. We all are here to discuss ideas, some ideas might not sound good/applicable but it doesn't mean to say words like that. There are not set rule for the preparation, every one has his own method of studying / preparation. For your information a lot of guys there solely rely on GOlJan audio for pathology and they are doing good . So select your words wisely before you comment. Thanks

I would advise against recording as audio. Writing does indeed take a lot of time, but it's worth it b/c it's much easier to reference it later. It's nice to consolidate the information in one place, and that's why I like writing the UW information into the corresponding part of FA so that I can review both at the same time. It takes a long time now, but it makes it MUCH more efficient to review the high yield concepts from both simultaneously.

That's very nice. Thank you . I'll write it. 🙂

You can also type it into a word document if you find that useful or more quicker. For Step 1, I wrote UW into FA. For Step 2 right now, there is a First Aid but I'm not using it, so I'm typing UWorld notes for Step 2 into a Word Document, but separating it by category (so all the Cardiovascular notes go in one section, all the Renal in another, etc, rather than a giant list of bullet points). There's no set way to do it, but consolidating information into somewhere and reviewing it in a smart way is of utmost importance
