Hello all, this semester did not go as well as I would have hoped grade wise. I had a 3.33 cgpa before this semester started, now I have a 3.21. My first science courses are, Bio 1 for pre-professionals: B, and Chem 1: C, which puts me at an sgpa of 2.46. About a month ago in November, I was diagnosed with ADHD, which explains everything, innattention, lack of motivation etc. But my treatment started when it was around time for finals, so it was an uphill battle trying to get everything going the way I needed. My professors are extremely supportive, because they see my tenacity and dedication to shadowing as volunteering every week. Ever since my treatment started I have been able to focus and formulate a reliable study plan, but still feel like some skills can be improved upon. Becoming a physician is not just a dream, but a reality. Now it’s just up to me to get on the right track, to get there sooner. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have tons of research experience, with 2 most likely leading to publications, and lots of volunteer service with minority and economically disadvantaged children as well. With over 150 hours shadowing an MD ER physician, and 80 hours with a DO orthopedic surgeon, with more shadowing coming from primary care DOs as well

I've been pre-med full time for 5 years and part time for 2 years now, it is only over when you walk away. By the 6th year mark I had done so much already it would have been ridiculous not to continue and get my reward for it.
