Pretty random, but were any of you recruited by (a) pharmacy school(s)?

I remember there being a box to check while registering for the PCAT if you didn't want your scores released for recruiting purposes. I don't know why, but I just figured there wasn't much recruiting going on for Pharm Schools so people are so focused on target schools.

When DH was applying to B-School we started receiving a million and one brochures after he took the GMAT about schools across the country.

Is it something similar? Do I need to get a "junk mail bin" ready?

Or are these legitimate recruiting efforts to lure you in to a place you hadn't considered?

Yea. you will sure need a huge junk mail box after checking that bok. Its will never stop coming!

Maybe it's just me, but I ended up with a 95%tile and I didn't get any recruitment letters/junk mail. It wasn't until I sent applications to my 14 schools that i began to get some

I got a 99 and didn't get anything. I didn't send my scores to any schools so maybe that had something to do with it.

I submitted my app the day I got my PCAT scores. So, it could have been recruiting based on that. In any case, they were two schools I wasn't planning on applying to, anyway. Does that mean they have access to your PharmCAS app even if you aren't applying? I didn't think to dig for the answer to that question in the PharmCAS FAQ

As you were typing that statement, you did not think of using the pharmcas faq?

😕 No, I didn't think of that before when I was getting info from schools I did not even apply to. The question about pharmacy schools having access to your app has been discussed on this forum before. I guess I didn't care enough about it then to go looking for the answer or to follow the thread.

Oh, I thought you were asking do schools have access to your app even if you don't select them, and then going on to say it did not occur to you to search for the answer before typing your post. My bad. I think explaining it just made it worse though (see my sig).

Mostly I was just being sarcastic though.
