Recycle parts of a personal statement

I need some advice about reusing parts of a personal statement that was submitted last year. My girlfriend is reapplying this year and wrote a great personal statement and is wondering if she can reuse the intro and conclusion. The personal statement that she wrote this year is good, but the intro and conclusion from last year was better and can be tied into this statement.

I say go for it. I reused mine from the previous application cycle... deleting what I thought was irrelevant, adding new stuff, etc. It had similar parts, but definitely seemed like a new personal statement.

Yeah, That's what I did, my intro and conclusion were great. I reused them and other parts of my personal statement and certain lines, but it's definitely a new personal statement.
