Hey guys! For all of us who interviewed at TUCOM-NV recently, today is doom's day...acceptances shall be emailed out. As soon as anyone receives an acceptance...first off...congratulations! Post here! All sentiments that accompany the wait and post-acceptance sentiments are welcome.

Due to unforeseen and unscheduled scheduling conflicts in Dr. Forman's
schedule, I am not able to notify anyone of your Admissions Decision until
next Wednesday afternoon, March 22, 2005. I sincerely apologize for this
delay and inconvenience. All letters will go by close of business on
Wednesday, 3/22/05 and I will do the email notifications to all the students
that I have received emails from. Please let me know if you have any

Yeah, that email sucked. I saw the email message from TUCOM and thought "Horray! I've been accepted!" But then I opened it to read "Due to unforseen . . ." Ugh. That's the worst psych-out ever!

Hey everyone! I'm interviewing at Touro-NV tomorrow, so I'm avidly reading these threads. I have to tell you, even though this email was not what you wanted to hear, it sounded good to me. The reason I say this, is NOT for what it said (or didn't say, and I feel your pain!) but because these people are ACTUALLY COMMUNICATING with you, keeping you informed, and letting you know that they'll email you as soon as they possibly can. The farther into this process I go, the more rare I believe this kind of communication between adcoms and applicants to be.

It's actually part of their procedure to email us. We were told during our orientation (and I'm sure you'll be told as well) that all those accepted would get emails on Friday (those not accepted would get letters), so basically after Friday you would know, one way or the other, what your status was. Anyway, yes it is a great communication system, but I think they do this for all interviewees, regardless of when you get your interview. Best of luck to you! I hope you get the coveted email too!!

Yup! Just heard it from Mr. Corbman today! I love the fact that they're so good about communications. Apparently we shall hear via email (and then snail of course) on April 1st!

Incidentally, they spoke about the class being "almost full," however Roger said two or three times that there was "enough room" for everyone at the table if we were all to be accepted (there were 11 of us). They're interviewing 8-9 tomorrow, then another 8 next monday. Later on in the day, as part of a discussion about how the waitlist and seat availability moves, he talked about having 97-99 seats filled. I don't know if he was just using those numbers for an example, or if while giving an example, he slipped and gave us the real numbers. He couldn't tell us EXACTLY how many seats were filled, so I really focused on him when he made the "97-99" comment.

They have 108 seats (per AOA), and plan to give 120 acceptances... when the number of deposits goes below 108, then waitlist movement will begin.

Thanks for the update!! I am waiting to hear on this Wed. 3/23. There are a total of 4 interviewing groups waiting to hear on Wed. I estimate there are about 37 applicants from these 4 interviewing groups. I will keep everyone posted on what happens.

I didn't request the email regardless of status. I know if I don't get an email, it's over. If I do get an email . . . yipee!! That's good enough for me. 🙂

I haven't heard anything yet, so I'm assuming I'm rejected too then. It's 6:15 pm (central). I'm guessing I would have gotten something by now. But I'll post if I do get the "good" email later.

Okay...maybe I haven't gotten enough sleep during this set of block exams but if I'm reading what you wrote correctly...then you won't get an email in either case since you didn't request it. I must be seeing things...

What they meant by the "regardless" comment, was Roger Corbman said we could request to get an email "regardless" of our admission status (which would tell you if you had been denied, waitlisted or accepted). Otherwise, only the people who are accepted recieve emails.

Oh well, I did not get rejected, so that's good news so far.
I really love TUCOM-Nevada.....1st choice before interview and 1st choice after interview. 😍
