I've heard from different people that Canadian GPA is weighted highly to some American dental schools. For example 80% is 3.7GPA in Canada but some schools will convert the mark to 4.0 instead of 3.7 and so on.

Anyone know about this?

I don't think that is the case. However, when you apply to Canadian medical schools, every school has a different rating. I think York students can only get a 3.9 for an A grade, whereas everyone else gets a 4.0.

Some universities in the US might be biased towards certain Canadian institutions, but everyone goes through the same gpa verification process.
