I've send in My AADSAS application. However, I won't be taking the test probably until much later. Does anyone know if I can fax or mail my "printed" DAT score to individual schools that I applied to? (Just to speed up the process) because I heard that it takes another 3 weeks or so for the official DAT score to be send to the schools. Do you guys know if the dental schools will review my application with the faxed DAT score?(by the way, I have send in everything else)

you kinda have to call individual school to confirm.
i know some school will consider ur "printed" dat score as a temporary and use that to complete ur file. Of cos they will confirm it 3 wks later.

Thanks. 🙂

Do you remember what are some of the schools that will work review the application with the "unofficial" DAT score?

I took the DAT less than two weeks ago on the 16th and I was going fax my unofficial score sheet to the schools but I just got notice today from Nova that they have received my official scores. I am assuming the rest of the schools have them as well. So it took only about 12 days for the schools to get my scores. By august it may take longer though.

Accidental~
I noticed you are in Arizona...did you take the DAT at the testing center in Goodyear? Was it hard to find at all? Any last minute tips you have? I am taking it this Saturday!! Eekkk!!

Rather than accept heresay, contact the schools you are applying to to confirm. After all, policies do change!

Also, depending upon the volume of scores the ADA must process at any given time (including National Boards, the Optometry exam, etc...), there are peaks and valleys in the speed scores may be forwarded to schools. Do not count on the 10-day to two-week timeframe. 2-6 weeks is more accurate. 🙂

ADA processes scores for Optometry?
