Well, if you have a BS, then at least you'll have something tangible in case pharmacy doesn't pan out (better make sure to major in something good though). I think most people that have a bachelor's in pharmacy school have one because 1)they didn't know they wanted to do pharmacy until after colleg or 2)they needed the bachelors to be competitive enough to get in. Good luck!:luck:

Advantages of a Bachelor's
- more competitive application, as long as your GPA is good
- more broad education, you will be taking 2 more years of classes, you can take world geography, religions, pyschology, etc, etc. You can take more "fun classes" like "intro to the Beatles" or "Human Sexuality"
- more time to make friends and meet interesting people

Disadvantages of a Bachelors
- 300 and 400 level classes are hard and can bring down your overall GPA. It may be hard to compete with the 4.0 GPA students who only took 2 years of classes, when you took 4 years and the last 2 years were intense.
- longer time

Most schools with pharmacy schools will have preference towards their graduates. But it is not a major factor when they choose who to accept.
